Mooresville (North Carolina, USA), June 16th, 2025 – The Bell Racing brand was part of a historic moment in Mexico City, Mexico this past weekend as Shane van Gisbergen won the first ever points-paying race in Mexico City wearing a Bell Racing RS7C LTWT helmet.
The full-time cup series rookie won in dominating fashion for Trackhouse Racing, leading 60 of the 100 laps and winning by 16.567 seconds. His first win in a full-time cup series ride, van Gisbergen is not new to winning in NASCAR Cup Series races at debut tracks, also picking up the win as a part time driver at the 2023 Grant Park 220 in Chicago, USA, the first Chicago street-course race.
Hailing from New Zealand, van Gisbergen has experience winning in a Bell Racing Helmet, having 81 race wins and picking up Championships in 2016, 2021, and 2022 in the Supercars Championship, a touring car racing series based in Australia and New Zealand.
Van Gisbergen’s choice of Bell Racing Helmet, the RS7C LTWT was purposely designed for NASCAR competition, as an ultra-lightweight version of the RS7 carbon to reduce weight and enhance airflow for an advanced, lightweight, and Snell rated helmet that can be used in some of the most demanding forms of racing.
