Lando Norris: ten years wearing Bell Racing, all the way to the F1 title

Ten years. From his debut in single-seaters to the ultimate prize in Formula 1. Lando Norris’ journey is a story of talent, determination and growth, a rise that perfectly mirrors his bond with Bell Racing, whose helmets he has worn without interruption since 2015. Long before the biggest stage, the British driver had already announced himself in karting, capturing both European and world titles, before confirming his status as one of the brightest prospects of his generation with a steady march through the junior formulas, claiming titles in British F4, the Toyota Racing Series, Formula Renault 2.0 and European Formula 3, on his way to F2.

Along the way, Norris had already joined the McLaren junior program, with a clearly defined path ahead: Formula 1. The first milestone has a precise date – August 2, 2017 – the day of his maiden test in a top-tier single-seater. Since then, Norris has not only become the 2025 world champion, but also the driver with the most Grands Prix contested for McLaren in history: he now stands at 151.

Norris made his Formula 1 race debut in 2019, immediately showcasing his raw speed. His rise unfolded alongside McLaren’s resurgence, marked by a series of personal milestones: his first podiums, first pole position, first victories, the 2024 Constructors’ Championship with the team, and its 2025 follow-up – culminating, at the end of an intense campaign, in achieving the Drivers’ crown.

Throughout his career, Norris has also stood out for his creativity in helmet design. His “blob” motif, a combination of fluorescent yellow and black adopted from 2024, has become iconic. A style that makes him instantly recognizable on track, while remaining faithful to yellow, a tribute to the favorite color of his childhood idol, nine-time motorcycle world champion Valentino Rossi.

Not to mention the countless special editions, often showcasing never-seen-before ideas: from a helmet transformed into a basketball to a beach-themed one, from tributes to Japanese culture to Italian pizza, to a helmet turned into a disco glitterball, the examples are endless. And more are yet to come, now as the reigning world champion.
